– The first step in the production of UPVC profiles is the preparation of raw materials, which include PVC powder, pigment materials, fillers to increase mechanical resistance, and various other materials. The materials are carefully measured and mixed to obtain the ideal combination for the production of the profile.
– The raw materials are carefully transferred to the mixer in the required amount. Then, this mixture is reached to a uniform and optimal state in crushing devices and is used as a nutritional material for the next steps.
In this step, the raw materials required for profile production are placed in the mixing machine. This device combines the materials and then the mixture is transferred to the crushing devices so that the materials are crushed to the appropriate size and a homogeneous composition is created for the extrusion process.
UPVC profile In this step, the mixed materials are transferred to the extrusion machine. The extrusion machine has different molds that determine the final shape of the UPVC profile. Materials under pressure and high temperature enter and exit the extrusion mold. In this process, the material is extruded into the appropriate shape and rapidly cooled to obtain the final shape of the profile.
Extrusion is an industrial process in which plastic materials are transformed into various shapes and profiles with an extrusion machine. This process is one of the most important methods of producing UPVC profiles for windows and is used in the industry of producing other plastic products. Below we explain the main steps of the extrusion process:
a) Preparation of raw materials:
Extrusion raw materials mainly include PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) which is prepared as powder or granules. These raw materials can be mixed with colorants, fillers, heat stabilizers and other additives.
b) Input acceptance: raw materials are transferred to the extrusion machine. At this stage, it may be necessary to pre-process the material such as crushing or heating the material to facilitate the extrusion process.
c) Melting of materials: The raw materials are entered into the machine and the materials are melted inside the machine using heat. At this stage, the plastic material becomes a uniform and sticky flow ready to form the shape in the next steps.
d) Extrusion and shaping process: In this step, the molten material is output from an output mold in the exact and desired shape for the UPVC profile. Molds are usually made of steel or aluminum and give different shapes to the profile. And these materials can be changed as long as they are not hardened.
– The UPVC profile produced by the extrusion machine is quickly cooled and placed in the cooling devices to get its final shape. After exiting the extrusion machine, the newly produced UPVC profile is transferred to the cooling equipment. These devices cool the profile quickly so that it falls into the final shape and is resistant to temperature changes.
– The cooled UPVC profile is cut to the required lengths and shaped into various profile shapes. This stage includes precise cutting and complementary operations. After cooling, the UPVC profile is cut to the required lengths. And it is transferred to the forming machines. These devices shape the profile using different molds and tools.
– Profiles are rigorously tested for quality control before proceeding to other steps. These tests include dimension measurement, checking mechanical resistance, heat resistance, appearance characteristics, etc. After manufacturing and shaping, the profiles are carefully inspected for quality control. These tests include accurate measurement of dimensions, checking mechanical resistance, heat resistance, appearance characteristics and other required characteristics so that the profiles reach the determined quality criteria.
The quality of the UPVC profile on the windows has a direct effect on the useful life of the windows. In the following, I will explain some important aspects of profile quality and its effect on windows:
1. Insulation: High quality UPVC profile can improve the heat and sound insulation properties of windows. In addition to reducing energy consumption, these profiles are also soundproof.
These features will improve the quality of living environment and increase energy efficiency.
2. Resistance to weather factors: High quality UPVC profiles have high resistance to weather factors such as rain, snow, sun and other adverse conditions. These features increase useful life and reduce the need for repairs.
3. Mechanical performance: The quality of the profile has a great impact on the mechanical performance of the window. Higher quality profiles can improve the resistance and strength of the window against pressure, vibration and temperature changes. This is an important feature to ensure better windows performance over time.
4. Appearance and design: Quality UPVC profiles usually have an attractive and clean design that contributes to the beauty of the windows. These types of profiles are usually produced regularly and cuts and connections are made more accurately.
5. Maintenance and repairs: High quality profiles require less maintenance and repairs. Resistance to damage and temperature changes creates minimal problems that may require repair.
